Hi All,

I'm experimenting with particles here. Under the ParticleFX Emitter panel, there's a "Size Effect" pulldown with a few optinos like Speed, Mass, etc. I've done a few experiments here, but I'm having difficulty understanding the value of this tool.

Can somebody provide me with an example of how this might be used or what the intended use is? The manual's not particularly clear...

As near as I can tell, it lets you specify how particle size is affected when it's keyframed. For example...in density fix, if you make your particle bigger in size, your mass would decrease in order to keep the density the same value.

But, I could be wrong:)

There must be more to it, somehow.

gotta love the manuals! ;)
at least 8 will come with a pfx manual - lets hope its thicker than the Motion Mixer manual!

I dont why everyone overlooks the content that comes with LW?

Theres plenty of scenes to learn from, especially PFX in your _Features folder!
There is an example called Emitter_SizeEffect.lws , exactly what youre looking for!

Heh i overlooked the stuff that comes with the CD because it's at home, 1,000 miles away. ;)

I'll peek at it when I get back.
