View Full Version : A few tutorials...
hrgiger 04-11-2004, 02:23 PM I started a tutorial section on my website. I just started so there's not a lot there but I plan on adding much more as I have time.
I'm not a webdesigner so the site is going to be constanly evolving so if you have any suggestions I would like to hear them. I don't like a lot of real flashy sites that are hard to navigate so I do want it to have a simple kind of elegance.
Also, let me know what you think of the tutes or let me know what you would like to see tutes on. I have an FX tut that will be next once the male torso modeling one is complete. Then I have several requests for making clothing.
Anyway, here's the tutorials page:

Thanks guys, I'll try and keep at the torso tutorial. I have a little time tonight so I'll update it later on.
Is everyone having any trouble following along in that one? I know I presume certain things (such as using drag to move points around for tweaking).
I'm probably not going to do a rig for this one, at least not yet. Simply because LW8 seems so drastically different as far as rigging methods go. I'm going to hold off until it's released before I do any rigging tutes.

Thanks guys, it's nice to know they're helpful to others. I'm going to try and finish it as soon as possilbe. Just bear with me because time is not always on my side. I'm a full time worker during the day, full time student in the evening, and full time lover to my wife late at night.:) I'm trying to do these tuts when I can.

I put a preview on my site for a new tutorial. Haven't added the sound or the paticle effects yet but it's going to be for shooting an object full of holes.

Thanks for the body tut hr.
It looks really great. Any chance of making it into a full body (complete with a head)?

I'm probably just going to finish up the torso modeling and make head and other body parts seperate tutes. I may use the torso in doing the other tutes though so you can connect them perhaps.
Here's a quicktime of the preview above.

Added a few more pages to the torso tutorial and hope to have it finished up this weekend. Also, I added links at the bottom of the pages for easier navigation between the pages.
