View Full Version : Bipeds On Their Own Mission
HBlaauw 01-29-2002, 12:09 PM I'm working in max 4 and have one biped in my scene. I then imported another biped and moved it to a specific area in the same scene. Both bipeds are animated on layers... Every time I save and re-open my scene, the bipeds have gone on their own mission and they're not where I left them.....
They keep jumping to a different spot every time I save or hold...
Hope you guys can help....
Cheers

Well, looks like I've stumped most of
you since no one came back with a suggestion...
I fixed it.

I used to have a similar problem where the biped would just decide to go bag into pose mode, it also did some flaky stuff whilst animating.
I cured it by making a copy of my scene and then using a generic biped I would animate it into the right position export a .bip file and then load that into the real scene/character most of time that seemed to straighten things out.
That said I haven't needed to use that technique since I moved to Max 4 and CS 3.
If you want email me a copy of the scene breaking down what goes wrong and when, and I'll see if I have the same problem.
