i know it's not the one you're looking for but i use a similiar script that works very good too

I feel a bit stupid but I also canot find "copyVertPos" @ highend
not unter maya - modelling nor in the polygon section
highend allways was a bit confusing to me

it's better to search if you know what you're looking for
@ highend go to maya/mel scripts then search for copyVertPos

You don't need a mel for this... The method I use is to press x, c, or v while I make transformations. (X for grid snapping, c for curve, and v for vertex)
So, select a range of vertices, choose the move tool, then press X and move on Y axis. So all the vertices will be aligned horizontally... Obvisously, do it on the axis you want.

I found the copyVertPos mel now
thnx JeePee
butt still I would be interested in Nicools keyboard version ... but it does not work yet
I select a range of vertices. I hold down X and grab the green arrow (y axis) ... when I am in a ortogonal view this snaps to the grid but it doesnt allign the vermicelli ... eh vertices I wanted to say
perhaps you see the mistake
thnx

averagePosition v1.0 might do the trick for you aswell:

good luck (using the scale manipulator sounds sooooo familiar :D )

mimo8 to align them u need to turn off retain component spacing in the move options
(hold w + lmb)
Nicool you're right, i'm not sure why i got the script in the first place http://www.jeepee.demon.nl/smilies/hmm.gif
