CGTalk - helmet/armor wip

HEy all

First post here. Been lurking in the shadows for quite some time. Came across this great drawing on artifacts web site for Horizons. I must say I love that design of the helmet in the top right corner. So I decided to start modelling it.

Not sure exactly what I am going to do for textures. Any thoughts would be great. Also any ideas to make some additions would be great to.

It's looking great so far. And I love Doug Schuler's concept art for Horizons. You know he left and is starting a new project(actually 3)? Some weird things happening at artifact entertainment or something to make him leave.

As for textures, I could see a really polished metal maybe gold. They are angels after all. But then again I like what you have on there right now.

Hmm I would bring the top center fins up to a point because that is what the original artist did.. The Mouthplate also needs to be brought to a point it appears as well.
Otherwise then that it looks great
