For the final image I want a few cargo ships flying past the camera. So here’re a few ideas that I have. Only one will make it to the final image.

Great atmosphere.
This was actually my first time i noticed your thread. Colors are great. Good use of "big & small" technique. Reveals the size for common people like me.
It will quite painful to paint the whole city.
Kilduff
04-12-2004, 08:41 PM
Newbie- cool thanks, that’s what I was trying to go for.
Mitrich and coolbird, - thanks, I appreciate your comments. Falcor_, yes the city will be a pain to color

Well, just to let every one know that I'm changing a few things around, this image is too plan, I need more action, maybe even some blood, so for the next few days I will be going back to some drawings. Thanks for all the nice words.
Here is a small image of an attack from one of the mosquitos; I might have to add them in the final piece
Squibbit
04-16-2004, 10:01 PM
wha ? huh ? k I mean I think I would've liked to see that city
finished instead of a mosquito attack , even though the attack
would just have been a part of the final image .
Then again I think you got so much skills and ideas that I
might regret seeing you finish the cityscape instead what
you would come up with otherwise ...
maybe you add the action to the city pic ? Or was that what
you were talking about ?
:wip:
:surprised ?¿!!?
Kilduff
04-18-2004, 01:59 AM
Well the only reason why I think I should try something ells (not to say I wont finish this) I think this is too much of a environment and not a “creature design” so I’m thinking of working more on just developing a creature rather then spending large amounts of time coloring a city. What do you guys think, I have a few other ideas to work with, and should I just give it a shot??
Squibbit
04-18-2004, 11:50 AM
you could have the big creature have fleets of smaller
creatures serving it , being part of it , unable to survive
without it . These little creatures , maybe 3-5 different
kinds , would not be able to help the mother cretaure ,
but could take simle instructions from the humans , helping
them carry stuff , etc.
You could have them flying through the air , climbing the buildings,
building stuff , etc.
hey maybe when the big creature was healthy it could help
the humans in some struggle and signs of that struggle
could be seen in the picture .
Now with all this you could have maybe 3-7 creature designs
in the pic (+equipment designs , maybe a few plants here and
there ).
?
Work with this pic and sketch out and give more thought
to the other ideas , too, on coffee breaks or something :) .
One of them just might be yet even better than this ?
Kilduff

Thanks buddy, that’s a very good idea.
I appreciate you help a lot.

I’m not going to say that I stopped work on the creature/city but for the past few days on my lunch break I have been thinking about something that’s more interesting. The two images below are of a power plant, main source of power will be a large heart, which helps run the turbines and what ever else. Just an idea that I was thinking about not sure if I will continue it. But I will do a few more drawings of this idea before I make my final decision.
Great work....really solid!!! :bounce:

ouch ... your lunch break scribblings are better than my

Anyways .. hey , that's pretty new stuff you got there
...
given any thought to why they got a heart and not a machine pump?
