Hi.
I`m studying Renderman Artist Tools.
Does anyone know how to use maya`s UV or projection in the Slim in RAT?
Thanks

This is all explained in the online manuals under RAT Tutorials > "Basic Texture Projection" and "Maya 3D Paint".

No those tutorials are all using magic light and magic surface shader. And the RAT`s coordinate system is used in there not UV polygon projection.
Does anyone know how to use maya polygon projection in RAT?

No, the Maya 3d paint one explains it exactly as I said.

Anyways its so simple. Just assign the surface to the shader and it uses the UV's automatically. If you want different shaders to use different UV's then just pick the uv's and assign it to the shader in slim. Mtor doesn't support multiple uv layers though, only the base layer.

No, actually the 3D Paint tut talks about how MTOR uses Maya's UV information. It's very brief but its a starting point. I suggest looking through the documentation as there are a couple spots in it that discuss this topic in depth.

MTOR uses Maya's UV information directly, with a few quirks, and the steps to getting it working are in the documentation. I am not trying to avoid your question but its infinitely better if you go directly to the manual. That way you get all the info directly from them. If you have questions about what you read please come back and ask them.

Edit damn you beaker and your quick response time! hehehe

Thanks both of you.
I used to use multiple texture layers for different UVs in LW.
But that`s ok.
