Boomstick Studios, creators of Reaction Quake 3 (http://www.rq3.com) is searching for a few talented concept illustrators, 3D artists, and web designers.
Following our recent release of 3.2, we're shifting gears toward a Half-Life 2 mod. The design process has only recently begun, but we already have a firm grasp as to what we're shooting for. Our plans for the next chapter of Boomstick Studios are as follows:

-Creation of concept art for our Half-Life 2 mod project "Heatwave"
-Development of a main site for Boomstick Studios as well as for "Heatwave"
-Possibly restructure or re-design our Reaction Quake 3 pages

As for the mod's info...I'm not at liberty to reveal too much, but here's a cut & paste from our design document:

Heatwave is a multiplayer mod that will be made for Valve Software's Half-Life 2 game engine. The mod will pit expert thieves against the cops in objective-oriented gameplay modes. Players will be thrown into the heat of battle in futuristic interpretations of modern-day cities and will have to rely not only on firepower, but on strategy and intelligence in order to achieve victory. The goal of Heatwave is to produce a game that is fun, suspenseful, and tactical. A simplified interface and more gradual learning curve make the game friendlier to newcomers. Our motto is to make a game easy to be "good" at, but difficult to "master".

We have a strong core of developers. Most have been since us from the beginning of Reaction's development--nearly 3 years ago. We're fairly laid back, but we expect team members to be mature and dependable. In terms of recruitment, we're looking to fill the following positions:

-3D Artist
-Concept Illustrator
-Web Designer

With that said, if you're interested, then fire off an e-mail to specops@rq3.com. In the e-mail I'd like for you to include the following: samples of your previous work, an explanation as to why you applied, and what you intend to get out of the experience.
