View Full Version : Kill Bill prequel to be animated
Morganism 04-06-2004, 10:37 PM Maverick director Quentin Tarantino is planning an animated prequel to his Kill Bill movies - to show the early life of the deadly assassin. The film will be drawn in the Japanese manga style already seen in Kill Bill Volume 1 and will focus on the three men - pimp Estebian Vihaio and martial arts masters Hattori Hanzo and Pei Mai - who turned Bill into a ruthless killer.

I think this would be awesome. The animated part of Kill Bill was my favorite part.

First the Animatrix does it, now Kill Bill. Oh well, as long as they're decent then I won't mind.
Of course, I still need to see Kill Bill Volume 1 (they released for like two weeks over here in the middle of exams so I didn't see it and they won't release K.B1 on DVD until K.B2 comes out and that'll take forever -_- )
I want the guy who did World Record for Animatrix to do it! That would rock! :buttrock:

These only help to add to the films atmoshpere and in my opinion, are more enjoyable than the films themselves. Kill Bill is a good film though, it practically is animated, in a sense.

hmmm, should be interesting... I read an interview with Tarantino saying that he was interested in directing some anime. looks like he's finally getting a chance.

This would be incredible if they animated it like they did in Kill Bill Volume 1.
I'm not a fan of Anime to begin with, but I've got to admit that the Anime Sequence in Kill Bill was by far one of the coolest things I've seen in a while when it comes to good filmmaking.

wow, this will be interesting, presonally QT does his work to an amazing standard, and im an avid fan.. hope it goes well
yea an anime movie about Oren Ishii would rock for sure. By far the most interesting character of the lot, how many girls do u know that have killed the big boss dude at the age of 11? not many, if any. Big fan of anime an the anime sequence in KB1 was one of my favourites. Definately cant wait for this, IF he does do it.

Agreed. That's really the only short I can remember well...aside from what they showed in theaters (the Osiris one...by Square Pictures, right?) and that other one with Trinity...Damn, can't remember those titles...Must find my DVD again...
