View Full Version : MESSIAH TO SUPPORT Cinema4D!!!
Quote from Ron Griswold of Project Messiah:
"Currently we have connections to LightWave, Max and Maya. I'm working on the C4D version as we speak, and we are looking into an XSI version. We don't have plans for any other hosts at this time."

WOW!!!
That would be very nice. Maybe MAXON should by Messiah out and put it into the next version ;)
That will help pushthe package in a lot of studios I think. How much does it cost, I would love it, but with the low amount of character work I do, I can't justify it. I need a compositor first.

I agree with you Marcom, I hope also in a full integration of Cebas GI technology with HDR, fastest GI (like fR 1.4), and above all multiple selections tools.
Messiah plugs into Max, LW, and Maya currently, with C4D and XSI to come.
Messiah is $500 cheaper than Character Studio (which only plugs into Max)
Messiah is supposedly much more powerful than Character Studio and as it plugs into so many platforms, offers inter-platform compatability (of sorts) for projects involving people on more than one platform :D
Cinema4D users will now be included in the mix :D

I agree gray great news - Sill can't wait for the Animation update, but hopefully this will push them just that much harder to make sure it's up to par to interface with Messiah.
A long time to wait,

before Ron Griswold showed up I sent a note to pmG. Here's what came back:
"We are currently working on a plugin with Maxon. As more information becomes available, it will be posted to our website www.projectmessiah.com .
Thank you.
Paula"
If this is 100%, Maxon is very much involved.
My understanding is that 3DStudio Max has about the very same bone limits as C4D. They're still dependent upon Plugins, Primarily Character Studio, but also Messiah (which is less expensive by 30%).
I don't see C4D being dependent upon Messiah for Character Animation to be a bad move at all.

Well I'd still like the core app to get refurbished too - I'd rather stay away from plugin deluge if I can :) That's not to say it won't help out - certainly will allow studios and higher end users to step up the plate in C4d (and help out in the community hopefully), but it'd be great if the main application was strong.

just wondering... did anyone make this known on PostForum?
hehe... someone beat me to it :D
