I think the ones in your second post look way better! much better textures and overall look, though the pillows seem a bit ehh well hard to lie on.. In the first picture the door to the outside looks a bit ehh weird.. dunno wot it is
But really nice work on this, is it to be used for a real hotel?:)

Very nice. But it's a little too perfect. Everything is exactly perfect and I can't see any faults, and that makes it less believable, but the third one is definatly the best. The less flat colours the more believable it seems.

Hi
Althoug this room doesnīt make my personal taste, i realy like what you achieved.
I just love the last two images, nice and warm lighting, well made modelling and shading, althoug as someone pointed, the modeling is, in some places, to hard and perfect...
but hey, he all know how a typical client feels about that extra "believable feeling" aspects
"hmmm, could you make it more clean and...":D
Good work :applause:

Thanks to everybody for all the comments, first i want to say the work involved in each project, because 1st and 2nd was serious work for a client, it was made in a rush, modelling and rendering of the two projects were made in 3 days, all the decoration aspects were decided by architectures of interiors, the clean and plain look was what they wanted...in the 3rd project because it was personal i took more time, about 1 week to model and another to render, and the clean aspect of them is just because this is supossed to be a clean fresh hotel :)
$imon : the 1st and 2nd are propositions for a real hotel, if they will accept it or no...still a question, but its a new hotel they will build near river douro in portugal, thats the reason of the background

I think everyone else did a solid critique of the work, so i'm not even going there.
I just want to comment on your graphic on the bottom that indicates your name. It is REAAALLLY distracting. My suggestion is to put your name on it sure, but make it small but original so that people notice it after the fact.
Good job though

the lighting looks nice, anyway if you got times it might be nice if you want to add a bit dirt or something to the texture so that it doesnt look to perfect. but generally it's a nice work

Amazing!! Nothing to critic here! :D
Really love the table and lamps on the second attempt, and am really astounished by the 3rd one! Great modelling, lighting and texturing!!
Great work!!! :D:buttrock: :buttrock:
@ Plays_4_Pants: Eheheheh his name is not "Linha de Terra", it's a company name. I kinda agree its a bit too strong, thou i must say i was not really distracted by it ... who knows ... maibe its the habit lol. ;)

Plays_4_Pants: like Q_B already said. LINHA DE TERRA is the name of the company i work, the logo design is not mine, iven it was i wouldnt change because i like it...sometimes simplicity is perfection
nepali_gurkha: they mey appear flat to you, but they arenīt, and i dont think the illuminatoin gives that impression either, but each person sees something is way
Dreamy Kid: that would be and idea, altough i dont think the work would improve by adding dirt, the way i see this kind of enviroment is beautifull to see is clean...and beside that iīm already a bit tired of this project
peanut sikeman : thanks 4 your comments :)

Dear Guybrush:
Sweet name, by the way, MI really inspired me when I was younger. Anywho, the pieces are awesome. The blankets on the bed seem a tad too perfectly made, if you know what I mean. Slight wrinkles and variation would help get rid of that flat, unrealistic look of that particular area. Finally, I would rethink the wireframe snipet on your splash frame. They really distract from the main image, and don't really offer much. Your name and logo are good enough, and non-intrusive.

I think that the best work is definetly your third set; the first one has excellent furniture choices but a dizzying carpet, and the second set is just too cold and unfeeling (especially the hard furniture edges and the desk bench... without a back rest).
There are just two "mistakes" I found:
First, the drapes above the windows (the short ones) should naturally have some wrinkles in them rather than just be hanging perfectly straight... they would curl inward, as well as have some 'wrapping' motion.
Then, in your third set (pictures 5-6), there is some significant UV stretching on the bed mattress.
Great work!

Thx everybody for your comments.
Gatling: the furniture on the 1st and 2nd set were chosen by interior designers, about the drapes above the window, perhaps your right, but this was the way the designer wanted to be shown, about the second trick, i think your wrong, because thats a parametric nurbs surface, so theres no stretching in the texture, anyway thanks 4 your comments and crits

Real nice!
Would you want to go that extra step?
If you do then,......
Everything in 3d is a skin that is floating in space, this is something we try really hard to avoid making apparent. In your first image curtains would never fall like that, that aint real.
Ive seen your work before and the pillows are made of steel, use a box deformer and make them sink into the bed instead of floating on top.
Some people said it was too perfect and that bothered them, what you are doing is making stuff rigid. Its easy to see you love detail, and are very good at it so a couple of other little details will help a lot.
Edges are really important: try give your objects a bit of depth otherwise they look cut out. The box above the curtains in pic 3 is a good example. Also the furniture looks like it could cut you! Bevel these edges a bit.
Put your props (tea service) a little more randomly like someone would have used it, that helps make everything a little less stiff.
Try not to use self illuminating panels as background cause it looks washed out.
Add noise to some of your materials so they are a little less plastic.
For your own stuff use depth of field to blur the background a bit and have your lighting go from darker to lighter or the other way around to give more foreground and background effect.
Hope this helps
Greetings Kanga

thanks everyone for your comments.
Kanga: thx for your long review, i agree with some things u said, some dont,"reallistic" is sometimes a very subjective, i can photograph things that doesnt look "reallistic", i say this because i think theres pilows, and curtains that behave like the oneīs 1 hav, im nor trying to get excuses for my work, has i said before the 1st and 2nd project where done in a couple days each, iīv only worked more on the 3rd...anyway i want to say i understand your crits and will follow them in my next projects, not in this one because its finished and ripping...now i have other project in progress that already gives me lots of work :)
