View Full Version : Still: Passion
Andini 04-05-2004, 03:32 AM I had painted this picture in my mind while I viewed the Passion movie about a month ago. I've worked on it since and seeing as today is PALM SUNDAY, I think this is a pretty good time to post this.
Comments and Crits are appreciated.
Quick tidbit on its creation: It's a Poser figure with a Cinema4D cross model. It's all layed out and rendered in Bryce with a photo sky.

I like the sky, create the feel and atmosphere very well ! But the hill seems too flat and....bright?, as I think it should be darken a bit so it will be more natural.:)

I like the composition of your image. The sky though, seems a bit too grainy. Also, it might be nice to model the mountains and hills in 3d, instead of painting them in; it might help bring all the elements of the image together. I think what Arseny was referring to was the cross and Jesus' proportions seem way too large for the space He's in. Maybe scale that down a little. Hope that helps. Awesome movie, by the way.

The mountains actually are modeled in 3D. It's just that, the way the lighting is set up, they are silhouetted.
Also, I realized that the background was a bit grainy so I tried to grain up the foreground a little bit, too, in post.
composition is nice but that's about it
the sky is way too grainy in contrast with the rest
i think it needs far more work
good starting point though
the mountains need shading
person needs a bit of touching up
