View Full Version : common courtesy
i know this isnt a real active part of the forum here But
98% of my personal post i made on tips or maybe some Freebies
i Get NO replys i get NO Thank you
i only get that when im helping some one in there thread.
as of yesterday i have only gotten 1 Reply since ive been here.
i do things for a reason
and that is >i get satisfaction
when i know my stuff is appreciated
when i get no replys i feal my stuff is UN appreciated
or just not good at all.
im a Rookie im no pro but i have stuff to offer that most people dont
like giving out a helping hand.
other forums ill stop back when some people reply to my post
to show them i read there appreciated reply
some times i do and some times i dont
just to keep the thread short.
i have helped out in other places
and i have stayed up till 4 and 5 oclock in the morning
to help this person and when i do the person doesnt reply
if it helped him or not.
i do my self forget were i posted and what i posted
because i do use other forums.
im sounding like im complaning but im not
i see these thing happen to others allso.
use common courtesy
i use it all the time
from opening up the door for some one
or maybe helping a old lady
or even saying hi to a stranger walking by.
its not that difficult to say thank you
it doesn't take a lot of effort.
my stuff is FREE
i do not charge nothing i do not make money off of it.
i have made tools for other software
ive been doing it for about 4 years and
haven't made a dime doing it.
and when some one cant take 1 miniutes of there time
to say thank you its just like a kick in the throat.
put your self in my shoes i feal like im wasting my time.
thanks for reading i hope your can read my mombo jombo writting
because i never could spell right or have good grammer.
if i feal im not needed ill just walk the other way.
great forum BTW i see some great skilled people here.

I am sorry you feel this way and I am very glad you share the tips and tricks. You also seem very helpful to most that are in need of help. I will take this time to say "Thank you, E-Z, I have read most of your post and they have been helpful. I am sorry I did not thank you sooner. I hope you will continue to share your tips and be a piller to the new and growing Motion Builder community."
:buttrock:
your welcome RichardHertz.
i guess i dont get alot of responce is because it seams there isn't alot of people over here.

i guess also that this is the point. you cannot wait for response, because cgtalk is too big to get more personal contacts and for this more feedback to your posts.
but we can try to get this mb-forum to a more personal place.
greets
marco.

Thanks for all your tips - they've been that numerous that I assumed you worked for Kaydara, so I've never replied to thank you before. At least i know now - thanks again and keep up the good work!

EZ,
I feel your pain guy! ;)
The only thing worse than posting up a question and seeing 230 views 0 replies is when you post up a helpiing hand and get the same. I once posted up a LW model i'd spent considerable time on, it was downloaded by hundreds of people, but I never received a single thank you for it. Most annoying!!
There are only a few people I've found that actually take time to respond, not just in the MB forum but in others as well.
If it's a thread that can cause flame wars, there are no shortage of folks wanting to take part! Human nature huh? :p
For me, I always try to make a point of thanking someone if what they've posted is useful, I'd expect no less myself.
thanks every one.
here is a fine exsample
http://sv2.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=148&pagenumber=1&sortfield=lastpost&sortorder=desc&daysprune=1000&x=11&y=11
check threw the pages all you see is EZ EZ EZ.
i few years ago i put up a website with tools on it and set me up a counter on it and every one was using it alot.
till 1 day i woke up to find my website gone because they told me it keep getting exceeded band width and not only i lost most of my stuff but no body seamed to care to say thank you.
i had a few years worth a work and took me a long time to get some of it back by diging threw old forums or looking threw 100s of back up cd but i never got it all back.
i never botherd to put the website back up because of lack of common courtesy

Thanks E-Z.
I think you're one of the best contributer to the MB community and I hope you keep up posting both here and the MB forum at Kaydara.

Hey EZ,
You've helped me in the past and I have thanked and appreciated that.
In my case, I have been so busy with other projects that are unfortunately not MB related, that I haven't checked in here for a long time.
My lack of response was due to me not being available... or being so tired that I didn't have the energy to post.
Your efforts are appreciated.
Besides, giving of yourself and your experience freely is good karma and even if people do not thank you, you will be thanked in other ways. Giving freely should not be done so you can get thanks. Give freely for yourself.

Well, dunno what to say... I've read most of your posts on the kaydara forum... Only thing i can say is i've rarely seen anybody putting so much effort in helping out others... I guess what you're feeling is just the ransom of the good old samaritan... Human nature:shrug:
Well keep up the good work

Thanks Tons E-Z. I love to thank people. I often thank people in advance. Just like in my "Z up?" thread. ;) (perhaps if I entitled it "EZ-up?" *hint*):D

Hey EZ,
You've definately helped me. I keep an eye out for your posts in this, and all the other forums that we share in common-- because I know they'll be filled with quality information. So... for everything... thanks!
