What is the link between Moebius, Giger, Christopher Ross, Jodorowsky, pink Floyd and.. Salvator Dali?

they've all got involved in a project movie in the 70's ...

are you talking about H.R. Giger doing concept art for the movie dune? whoa! that would have been hella badass!

that still remains one of my favorite books...

Yup, yup. Giger actually became friends with Dali during his involvement with Dune (check out Necronomicon for more on that, as well as Retrospective).

Btw, Pascal, those scans are uber-saturated; they don't really do the work justice. Originally they were of the classic Giger ghostly bluish hue.

Oh, and currently Moebius is working on Rendezvous with Rama, a film directed by David Fincher/A.K. Walker, based on the novel written by Arthur C. Clarke, and completely CG. :D

right right.. but you know.. it's pretty old and the originals are hidden somewhere ... these are scans from phtography I think...

you can still have a look on gigers original art for the dune project here in switzerland. most famous are the chairs of the harkonnen castle. They're even commercial distributed and you can have a seat on them in one of the 2 giger bars (NY and Chur,Switzerland)

He's one of the few creative swiss connections to the world of movies.

No, there isn't anymore a giger bar in tokyo... they have to close it since there's more yakuza in it than normal people(yeah, it's the official answer :)
The chair he made for this film are really cool :) Too bad the film has never be done:)

yeah, gigers stile would have perfectly fit the house of harkonnen.

But I have my doubts that giger would have made a great worm-design...

Other question: Isn't Jean "Moebius" Giraud anymore working on a project "through the moebius strip"?
