SIGIL 04-02-2004, 02:58 PM This is a wire frame of the character that I am currently working on for a game idea. I just wanted to get some feedback from others who might be a bit more experienced with modeling and animation than I am. My main concern is that the model might not be set up properly for animation so that is what I am looking for to have answered.... of course if it CAN be answered based on what is shown....
Anyway...................

At this point the model is 1274 triangles... I am shooting for a total count of 2700.
Any crits or comments?

Could you post a smooth shaded view, so we can see the shape, the point, really hides the model.

Here you go..............

The reason I posted the wireframe is to illustrate the vertice placement so someone might be able to say whether or not this will be animatable or not.... But hell ANY feedback at this point would be appreciated... 80 some odd views and only ONE comment is NOT very encouraging..... Not that I expect anyone to encourage me, but it would be nice to know one way or the other what the general feel of the model design is from someone else's point of view.
A not on the proportions.... WHich I am sure many have been turned off by.... I am going for a highly stylized, comic book type of look. So......

Rigging will be a problem with the arms and legs down. Arms should be out to the side, not down. Legs should be apart.

Ah... Okay so I need to put the arms BACK in the outright position...... DOH!! That was how I had modeled them to begin with and then just rotated them down, adjusting vert placement as neccessary.....Thanks for the advice.

MANY THANKS!! I was REALLY worried about that. I am almost done with him now... I just have the hands, feet, a few trinkets, and his head...... And a couple weapons but they should not take very long at all. So tommorrow night I will post an update.
