"An anonymous e-mail has revealed that the Walt Disney Company's DisneyToon division is currently working on two Pinocchio sequels, both of which willl be animated at the same time and released merely months apart, in 2006. "Apparently, Disney not only wants to start doing more sequels with computer animation, but they also want to create multiple sequels to each of their classic titles at the same time. Then, the sequels will be released months apart," writes 'anonymous.' "It [is] basically like the Matrix sequels were done and the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels will be done."

According to 'anonymous,' Pinocchio II: Chip Off The Old Block will be the first of the sequels and has the storyline of, "Nearly twenty years have passed since Pinocchio became a real boy. Now, he has a real boy of his own, Jobbio, who longs to know what it is like to be made of wood. Thus, the Blue Fairy grants Jobbio's wish and appoints Blarto Snail as his conscience. Nonetheless, as Jobbio and Blarto seek out adventure, they meet Lampwick, who is also now an adult. Still, Lampwick has not changed his old ways, and takes them to Pleasure Island. Soon, Jobbio and Blarto begin to relive the same story that Pinocchio and Jiminy lived not too long ago. However, the duo are in even more danger, because the whale's brother Blubber has come to seek revenge for his brother's indigestion." Writing the songs for the film will be none other than Bon Bon, formerly of the 70's boy band "Artistic Differences." Other cast members include Bernie Mac as "Gepetto," Pauley Shore as "Blarto," David Spade as "Lampwick," Joan Rivers as "Blubber," and Michael Jackson as the "Blue Fairy." Most of the cast will also return for the second sequel, Pinocchio 1 3/5: The Whale's Story, which will retell the story of Pinoccio through the eyes of the whale"

With what Disney has been releasing lately this "almost" seams frighteningly possible.

Of course the only thing that lets this story down is that every one knows Phil Collins has sold his soul to the devil so that he has exclusive rights to pen the soundtrack to all future Disney "classics" ;)

It sounds like Little Mermaid 2 (where she dreams of what it is to be a mermaid) on top of the original Pinnochio!

Gasp!

April Fools gags don't translate too well to the web.
