Time is ticking so have to start. First go at a scene containing a bio/mech tree. Like the idea that the tree could be offering an apple (eden II?) Will work on that.

I couldn’t tell from your concept sketch what was happening in the image but I really like the idea of a bio/mech tree. Most of the entries have been Fauna/mech. Your idea, I think, is the first Flora/mech in the contest. In my mind’s eye, I can see beautiful bluish-silver limbs sprouting leafy green foliage; metal pods blooming with apples; a lightly-barked trunk wrapping around a solid metal core. Great idea. I think this should more as a landscape layout for obvious reasons but I can’t really comment on your concept sketch because I don’t know what your style is going to be until you really get to working on the image. Good luck.
