The basic design in simple, an array of tiny light emitters, connected and controled by a small cpu. then out from that are the power converters.

spent some time modeling a basic eyeball, not sure on the colors. any ideas anyone? thanks.
going to redo the eyeball as editable poly's, so the eye will render more smoothly and not so boxy.

I wanted to put alot of detail into the eyeball and started looking up all sorts of information on how a real eyeball looks and how it works, all the rods and cones and refracting light. Pretty interesting to me because i didn't think i'd be learning about the anatomy of a real eyeball on this project. Next i'll be modeling the cybernetics and such.

to start off with I adjusted the size of the puple area, they seemed a little small. then i startedon the insides of the eyeball, i dont really know how much of this will be in the final image, but i think it will help my overall goal. any crits?

some of these wireframe have a pretty cool look to them all by themselves :)

i'd like to see what angle you use to show it all off, i think it might be hard to do...

thanks chrislomaka
Yeah i agree, getting the right angle on this will be difficult because most of my concept would be hidden from normal view.
i really like the inside the eyeball view though, it reminds me of MC Escher stuff.

i couldn't resist starting on some of the textures for the model. i am also tring to think up some ways to show my work in the final rendering stages. like what angle i should do and what effects i can pull off.
i want to emphisize on the inner workings of the eyeball. but i also want to include some sort of vision of what it looks like for the user to actually have one of these things installed in your eyeball. any suggestions would help me. thanks everyone!
