666 years after the first Satanic Assault was repelled, the armies of hell return to Earth. This time however, they will not be driven back by the modern weaponry of man. For centuries they toiled, creating their own sinister war machines.

Demoniod forms emerge from the Gate, bearing fearsome instruments of destruction grafted to their ancient, misshapen bodies. Woe be to man. The mechafiends have risen.

I have a handful of marker sketches, but I need a new scanner before I upload them. Instead, I whipped out a concept with the ole wacom.

anoon, I like your concept very much. Great looking and very evil. I like the style too. Reminds me a bit of Mike Mignola.

I stay tuned on this. Good luck!!

This was actually my first wacom concept. I don't really like it, but I thought I'd put it up anyway.

very cool!

welcome to the challenge and good luck (we're all gonna need it!)

I like the 2nd pic a bit more than the 1st...mostly because I like the pose and the fact that you can clearly see its feet.

add in that "samurai banner" from the 1st pic and I think you'll be set.

love the style, can't wait to see it in 3D!

very nice,
are you planning to do dramatic back light in your final image or just shaping your ideas and make changes.

anyway this is great.

I haven't thought about the final scene, lighting, or poses at all. I'm just roughing out some basic character forms at this point.

A dramatic backlighting thing would be cool, but I don't want to lose all the minute details I plan on modeling.

I'm still leaning towards the first image I posted. I really hate the 2nd one. It seems so... generic.

Thanks for the comments!

I prefer the second one !!
Your concept is very interesting, the way you show your concept with a silhouette
is very original :) and put a strange
interesting mood.
I stay tuned to next updates.

yeah, go for the first one, its more original and looks more powerful.

second one seems boring and "seen it before-ish"

I like the tiny lower half / banner version - cool stuff.

Can't wait to see the model.

Quick head concept. Needs machinery sticking out of it.

Those silhouette concepts just blew me opff my seat. I never would have thought to do that.. oddly enough, i get a strong sense of form and character from those.. i nearly know exactly what each one would look like..

Well.. hurry up on that model already

The head is starting to shape up. Making progress on the body. I may incorporate a little more flesh than I originally intended since ZBrush is so good at doing gnarly hides.

I like you're concept. It seems like a lot of people are using Zbrush. Do you like it? I'll have to try it out, I've only used Maya so far, but I checked out their website and there's some pretty nice stuff. Lots of the creature stuff is great. Anyway good luck

Thank you for the compliments.

I love what ZBrush does, I HATE how it does it.

The workflow is absolutely horrendous. Anyone that says otherwise is on crack. Unfortunately it is the only product that does what it does, so I'll tough it out.

Working on the gun arm. It's not really coming out as well as I'd like, but I'll stick with it.
