RIGHT I'M BEGGING FOR HELP HERE - I'VE BEEN STUCK IN THIS BLOODY OFFICE FOR 3DAYS STRAIGHT AND SLEPT A TOTAL OF 2HOURS IN THAT TIME. MY SHADOW IS DISSAPEARING ON MY SCENE MIDWAY THROUGH THE RENDER. NO KEYFRAMES ARE SET ANYWHERE - THE BLOODY OBJECT DRIVES INTO SHOT BENEATH THE DIRECTIONAL LIGHT AND ALL SEEMS FINE TILL IT GETS TO FRAME 76 THEN ITS AS IF THE SHADOW IS TURNED OFF!!!!! I'M AT MY WITS END AND HAVE ONLY A COUPLE OF HOURS TO FINISH THIS JOB SO ANY SOLUTIONS WOULD BE REALLY APPRECIATED.

PLEASE RESPOND ASAP!

what are your shadow settings?

one thing you might want to give a try if you didn't know, is grab the ground plane, go to render stats, and turn off casts shadows. that has helped me before w/ dmap shadow craziness.

also, did you try using raytraced shadows instead since you have to get this out so fast? raytraced shadows hardly ever give me any problems.

sussed it !! believe or not - subdivisions in the ground plane. bloody hell!!!

raytraced would have taken forever on this job and just didn't look as nice

thanks for the reply tho
