HOLY REDNECK, BATMAN!
Nice mudders. What does Batman need with a Bat-hummer?

ok.. someone should check the Aliens model archive to see if a certain somethin somethin has gone "missing"
Wow, that looks nice.
I guess the rumours of "a cross between a Humvee and a Lamborghini Countach" were true.

I have heard only good things about Batman Begins so far, but it is, after all, coming from the studio producing Catwoman. This is one tick in the "turdfest" category as far as I'm concerned. I hope they don't mess it up!
[edit] Although... couldn't the Batmobile change shape and stuff in the comics/cartoon? It'd be bad ass if this was simply what it morphed into offroading. No Hummer wheels for city, but BAM, inflates these huge tires and is ready to go for offroad stuff. That could be sweet.

a Hummer batmobile?
looks more like a goth tank to me and by that I mean I like it... very cool.
...after the circus the last batman movie turned out to be I thought they would paint it orange...

This I like, best batmobile since Adam West's runabout.

WHAT the F&*K is that piece of S^*t!
This wack ass design just makes me wish they had the TV show Batmobile!!
Now batmans into Humm's? WACK, please tell me this is a joke.
Jeff Foxworthy would say, "You might be a redneck ... if you thought the only thing missing from the Batmobile is the ability to go offroad and hunt some 'coons."
Interesting vehicle, but as far as batmobiles go ... bleah.

What was so bad with the old one? Why does eveything have to be new?:hmm:

I love the TV show batmobile, it was just straight up unique! Batman Returns was the only worthy batman movie, I don't know what to think about this new on.

This is why I suggest this may be the off-road version and not the Gotham City version. If the design philosophy is real-world, then that thing would be slow and handle terribly on paved roads, but be awesome off-road. I'll maintain faith. Other than this image everything about Batman Begins has been awesome so far.

Looks like it could be something Batman builds himself, rather than a sleek factory-engineered machine. Unique and interesting, I'll have to see it in a better light before I make any judgements.
In the script it's a miliatary vehicle that Bruce modifies...
Anyone have the "Dark Knight Returns" comics? I heard it resembles the batmobile in that book.

That looks really really stupid... Batman, and Batman Returns had the best batmobiles...
oke i havent read any batman comics but that sir, tho kewl as it is, doesnt look like batmobile material. Maybe it is the offroad version, but they better come up with a better batmobile design for the streets.
Ohh and why wud he need an offroad bathummer anyway? Its not like the crimms are out mugging the villagers or the joker poisoning the cows again.
I prefer the batmobile from the first movie and the series.
edit : and the thing looks like somthing out of monstershop garage where the had to convert a hummer to be powered by a jet engine.

Actually, if you know anything of the script, there will be forest or jungle or mountain or something scenes. Outside the cities and roads anyways....
*Spoilers*
The villain in Begins is Raz al-Ghul or something like that. I know I mangled the name. But he's the guy with the Lazarus pits and those are off in remote areas and whatnot.

And supposedly the Scarecrow will also be in the movie, so it would make sense to have some scenes involving farmland. Maybe.

personally I like it. it does look more like something that someone made themselves. one of the parts that always seemed weird to me in the Batman is how he could have all those factory made gadgets with no one knowing his real identity. especially if most of those things are built into his Batcave. and another question I had was how is his batcave right under his house. did he make the batcave under his house (that would take a huge escavation team) or did he build the mansion over the batcave ( the construction crew would have noticed). so this batmobile makes allot of sence. and hopefully tis upcoming movie will answer it.

so t-man152, you're suggesting there are holes in the credibility of Batman as a real life character? That you need a certain leep of faith to accept SOME of the concepts around the story? :)

Looks good. I can't wait to see it fully lit and in the movie.
Personally, I'm loving the philosophy behind this flick: everything as realistic and plausible as possible; including a Batmobile orignally developed on contract and subsequently scrapped by Wayne Enterprises, then discovered and adopted by Bruce for his 'extracuricular activities'. I really dig the gritty realism of it. Very Batman Year One...

When Bruce was a kid he discovered the bat cave while exploring the grounds of the Wayne mansion. Fell into it, actually, and had to be rescued. So he didn't make it, and he didn't build the house on it, it's just a big cave that he found and made use of.

I think its pretty kick ass :) I think it could still go pretty fast.. i mean put the right engine under that baby and rawr!! ;) It could be pretty interesting, and DAMN thats intimidating.

It wouldn't be able to go faster than 60-70 on a paved road because of it's tires. It's just a movie, so if they make it go blazingly fast with those tires, that's fine by me, but what I'm saying is that if they're shooting for reality, that vehicle wouldn't cut it on paved roads. I have raced Rally-cars down in Mexico and they would be stable as a rock off-road at 70mph, but when we had to travel a short distance across pavement to get to the next donkey trail through the desert, they would shake and be very jittery on the pavement. Just the way those type of tires work! Still, giving it another look, it's pretty bad ass. Just wish it looked more Bat-ish.

well I mean I know that batman is a fictional character but he is a fictional character based on gadgets and the only explanation that they give for those gadgets is that he is rich and can buy anything he wants. what I want to know is how does he get all his gadgets. I mean getting a boomerang in the form of a bat symbol isnt exactly an easy thing to come buy. and yes I know he could have requested it as batman and there are many ways he could have goten it without revealing his identity. but my main question is the batcave super computer. how did he get that in there and how did he set it up.
When Bruce was a kid he discovered the bat cave while exploring the grounds of the Wayne mansion. Fell into it, actually, and had to be rescued. So he didn't make it, and he didn't build the house on it, it's just a big cave that he found and made use of.
cool he found a cave with a huge tunel and a garage door opening and did it already have electricity for the super computer or did he do that himself? and that really cool spinning platform that the batmobil is on was that there already when he found it or did he install it himself?.
see what im saying.
most great books and movies and all of that made a whole world and answered most questions. it didnt let you hanging with thoughts that made the whole story not make sence.
for example: harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and most other super hero stories.

The storyline to the new Batman I like, and after seeing Equilibrum I can totally see the guy playing Batman.. He's perfecto. The Ras Algul story is awesome also! I use to record the Animated Series religiously !

It is my understanding that movie is heavily inspired by Frank Millers Batman. Specifically >>Batman Year One<< (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0930289331/qid=1080788641/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/102-5487253-0479332?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) and a bit of >>Dark Knight Returns<< (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1563893428/inktomi-bkasin-20/ref%3Dnosim/102-5487253-0479332) (That is where this Batmovile come from).
Check them out If you want to read some the best graphic novels ever written.
Another plus is that the writer of the movie David S. Goyer , is one hell of a comic book writer, and he wrote one of my favorite movies from the 90's Blade.

PS And the fact that Ra's a Ghul (The Demons head) is the bad guy is icing on the cake.

Whoa, looks very nice.
Personally, I´m enjoying all the news about the next Batman. Who knows, maybe this time Warner Bros. finally got it right.
And to all the guys and gals out there working on this picture: good luck, looking forward to this one!

I wanna see that bat-tank in action. I don't care if it's not as gorgeous as the Keaton Mobile. As long as it kicks some @ss in the film it's ok. :buttrock:

Well, I seem to remember that batman has had more than 1 vehicle in at least one of the movies. I don't immagine this is "The Batmobile"...but probably "a batmobile" It also looks like it has those wings, but the wings are folded down.

Well, considering that Batman's suit and all his vehicles were designed by him with "putting fear in the heart of crime" in mind, this one seems appropriate :)
Which doesn't mean that I like it, I don't.

sweet looking....rugged-sleek and more practical looking than those old punny low-ground-clearance designs.

in times where you or anyone else can buy a origin or a cray on ebay you ask the question how a billion dollar rich guy can get a supercomputer ?
and where is the problem getting it in parts into the cave ?
i dont even see a problem when bruce wayne buys a supercomputer official and let it ship via ups or fedex to the wayne mansion - man hes the leader of wayne enterprises and with that he has to manage a huge load of information wouldnt it be only equal to load that on a supercomputer
i dont know what bruce waynse education is but shouldnt be a problem for him to stick a little supercomputer together =)
and for the whole electic stuff and so on he had his butler alfred so they are at least 2 guys who can work hard (alfred maybe not anymore =)
