Hi all, new here and i thought i'd try this "little" contest thingy. i should have my first concept sketches up in a couple days, they're done already but i don't have a scanner so i can't post em right away. anyway, i look forward to seeing everyone else's entries. hopefully i wont be so impressed that i chicken out :)

this is my first solid concept sketch.
basically, it's an Alien soldier who has been wounded and then repaired with mechanical limbs. the premise essentially is this:
On Dec 31st 1999 the Kyshh-aak aliens invaded Earth. for the last 100 years they have occupied the planet, enslaving it's people and depleating it's resources even faster than we could. though Kyshh-aak soldiers have always been deployed in swarms, the high command has come to realize that eventually the Human resistance force will outnumber their own. As a result of this they have begun saving those fallen Warrior's whose wounds are not fatal, and re-fitting them with mechanical limbs under the adopted credo, "ghkk jhkkk asshhkar" or, "we can rebuild him. we have the technology."
