Hi, Im just following the tutorial that came with the max file, with the bottles and the sphere etc..but I can't get my radial array to work? Here are my settigns I have tried changed the transform center etc as suggested in the tutorial but its not doing what I want.

I am trying to get the tiny circle on the right to radial array around the selected cylinder.

(my measurements are in metres by the way)

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

:)

it is probably rotating around its own pivot point (so you would end up with 10 cylinders on top of each other? Try this:

go to motion tab & click 'affect pivot only' then click on the align tool. align the pivot points position on all axis.

then turn off affect pivot only & try the array again...

(if you are trying to get the circles all the way around, I think you need 36 degrees, not 3.6)

at the moment I'm working out of a small graphic design/signwriting/printing place in Wellington, New Zealand. I also run (along with two other guys - a cameraman & editor) a small studio called 'Martin Square'. We do mostly TVC's, Doco's & corporate video work. We've got a big project on at the moment tho, a feature film!! aah, riding on the sweet sweet LoTR aftermath.... :)
