View Full Version : Spiral Help!!!!!!!!!!!
TumikSmacker 03-28-2004, 01:34 PM I made a spiral like chape with the CV Curve tool and then I made a circle. How do I make the the circle loft around the curve. I want the spiral to be thick (and not a curve). :( Do I have to attach the circle on to the curve first or something? I've done this before but it doesn't seem to be working now, what am I missing? :hmm:

One way could be to make a cylinder, select the top faces (from where it will be extruded) and then select the CV curve and just press "Extrude Face". You need to set the "subdivion" to a high number aswell.. or you'll get some funky resaults.

Select your circle(profile curve) and then your spiral surve(path) and then Under Modeling go to Surfaces>Extrude
Play around with the settings, but having them at Tube, At Path, Component, Profile Normal, and set Output Geometry to Nurbs should give you what you want.
