We are looking for interns that can handle all aspects of Red Eye Studio. The immediate responsiblity will be tracking data. When there is no data to track we will all be working on a new version Red Eye's demo reel.

Hey, I live in the chicago area (northbrook to be exact) and I am currently attending DePaul University. I am double majoring in computer science and computer graphics programming/development. I have finished all of my core Java and C++ courses, but have yet to begin my OpenGL and Renderman courses.

I would be interested in an internship position, but I am not sure what my availability is like once the school year starts up again. Are you guys looking for summer positions or something more long term?

Give us a call and set up a time to come by the studio if you like.

Hello,

I am very interested in becoming an intern. I have studied 3d modeling and little bit of Texture and Lighting. I also have an interest in Motion Capture. I was wondering if you could elaborate on what exactly is involved in tracking data and the general duties of an intern. Also, will you be considering out of state applicants? I am currently a resident of California, but am willing to relocate.

Just so the other guys know before they plan on relocating, does intern mean no pay?

We would prefer that you be local because currently the positions are non-paying.

Tracking data is the process of cleaning mocap data. This requires viewing the data looking for gaps, spikes, and swaps. Then checking the outputed data on a skeleton in a 3D package. This is usually done using 3D Studio Max's Biped.

Other responsibles include but are not limited to helping out at mocaps shoots (one perk is great catered lunches at most shoots), helping with Red Eyes Demo Reel, running your own shoots to create data for our stock moves library.

During our down time we are always working on our demo reel and capturing stock move footage. This is a great oppurtunity to sharpen your 3D skills and use mocap to improve your demo reel. On of our interns did a 96 move shoot for a Wolfenstien mod, Wolftactics (http://www.wolftactics.com), he is working on.
