Going a little more exaggerated.

Cool, what is it? Could you give us a little background on this BoB?

Sure; he's a vaguely anteater-based creature, insectivorous (work-animals are pretty rarely carnivorous, heh). He's got sort of a forward-thrust center of gravity, which I imagine would give him an advantage as a beast of burden. I figure in the wild he'd rip up termite mounds. Apart from his claws, he'd be pretty harmless.
He's just one of the workable yet sort of amusing creatures I draw.

I like it. It's a cool concept and stands out from all the other entries. Nice work so far.

Yep, that model is coming along nicely. Really like the clean lines on your design. Keep updating!

Okay, I will!

Wow, it is really coming along nicely. If only I didn't have these other projects in front of me, I'd open up Maya and build a nice little cart for your beasty to haul. Ooh, and I have some ideas...must...exercise...self control.
I like the definition in the leg muscles. I can really 'feel' the weight of the legs, as well as see their connection to the underlying skeletal framework of the beast. Nice work so far!

Thanks, gimp!
I tried doing some smoothing; it kind of makes clear what I still have to fix.

The muscles are getting better and better. I think one thing that might look cool is if you gave him bumps (from the spine) along the top of his back. Maybe something like cross-shaped ridges could be cool.

Interesting idea. I'd kind of been operating under the assumption that he had kind of a dorsal sternum, but there's no reason I couldn't put something up there, if only some rib protrusion. Hm, I'll get on that.

Oh...OK, well a comrimise between the two ideas that could be really cool if done right is having spinal 'masts' like on the back of a Spinosaurus, but instead of having them incased in a thin membrane have them incased in muscle.
just my 2 cents

hey i really like this idea! :bounce:
The way the character's shape flows (i picture it as...hmm... a curved lower-case N shape.) is really neat. I like the concept, and the execution is coming along.

ZrO-1, how about something like this?

That is exactly as I was picturing it. Awesome stuff. I think the only other thing I might try is make 2 maybe 3 more foreward of the shoulders as well. Perfect design-wise though. If I did them that's how I'd do them.

I think I'm going to start in on the harnessing now...

Great! I like the originality of your concept and even though it is still early on, I like the harness design a lot too.
small crit: I think the muscle and bone structure need a bit more shaping to them, it seems like he has a lot of inexplicable corners
love to see more!

Very original! I like. If the head didn't look so cute compared with the rest of it, it would look really vicious! A ready-to-pounce sort of look.:scream:

A friend (thanks, zach) brought to my attention some anatomical problems, and I'm setting about fixing them. I also had gotten too hi-rez too fast, so i've gone back in poly count a bit. Very quick and dirty so far.

like the character very much...:bounce:
the only feed back I have right now is that the harness is too conformed to the bodyin places ... the layout of it is fine but it wouldn't conform to the body in front of the shoulders...they would be pulled tighter...and span from neck to shoulder without coforming!

Anyone have any suggestions? Still trying to make the anatomy feel right, but still be actually interesting.

Oh, yeah, this challenge! I guess this guy is about as done as he's going to get. I couldn't think of anything good for him to be dragging. I also don't have any fancy rendering software, more's the pity. So, any last-minute complaints or crits? Do tell.
