hi folks...so so long time i'm posting this small work of mine. This basically i am

modeling for personal leaarning and gotta be modeling completely soon. [:PP]
Well this is a character concept done by Hawkprey (http://www.hawkprey.com) and relates to no profitiable output and is just for my personal modeling learning.

I know its got lotsof erors as on growin area, its stomach area, and hips. I'm working on

them and need your golden advice to enhance my model. Noe the polycout is around 2200 and

i gotta make it a lowpoly char....so feed me some comments. [:l]

Also i am about to start tis texturing so hope u all will post some ideas as to what kin

of teturing will be best..."rustic,shiny,bumpy,organic..blah blah "

Looks promising.

That crease that runs along the middle, is that because you mirrored one half of the mesh? If so you might want to use the max' s symmetry modefier, it'll get rid of that seam, unless you want to keep that seam of course. ;)

His butt also looks a little low, but yeah, just keep working on the areas you already pointed out and it could be become a good looking model.

Keep it up! :)

Nice model and I'm sure it was a fun learning experience.

2 problems though.
First you should of listed your reference as this is obviously built off a model sheet by HawkPrey
http://www.hawkprey.com/xmpcharax2.jpg

Second, As this was a concept developed for a commercial project you should get permission from Epic (they own the license for this character) before trying to do anything with their IP. Especially trying to use it as your own in a project (personal or commercial) not associated with Epic.

So I would personally mark it off as a good learning experience and creating a new character. You obviously have the skill to do so. :)

Good catch mr jones, ill be in dallas on sunday to give you kisses...... As far as the model goes its a good base and as you list needs detialing, you also need to work on that seam down the middle, as its horribly visible, I cant comment to much on how you did the mesh and how i will animate due to there are no wires...

i dont mean to put you off but your character looks like it trying to be the ranger from the game unreal 2 xmp. possibly the varient concept they did?

theres a thread on cgtalk with the models, maybe have a look at their meshes design posible textures?

link (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=116450&highlight=xmp)

i know you are limited in polys but i feel he needs more of the little details, to make the model look more dynamic and interesting

hope this helps, and doesnt put you off a very good start just keep at it
