if you copy & paste the link into another browser it seems to work.

Hey nice look to it, little too cloth like perhaps?

Have you tried a couple going at the same time? The bottom of it looks a little too solid/wide, have you tried breaking it up a little, also how does it behave if you move the emitter point around?

Cheers,
Kieron

It's not a particle system , it's a geometric object ( GeoSphere to be specific ) ..
The method I used has many disadvantages .
You can check the scene

sorry, bad English.

Nice one!

It looks like the Phoenix plugin, but without the plug. Good job man!

Vrey realistic shape. Do you animate it with morphing?

With a good material and some lightning effects it will look photorealistic. :buttrock:

No, I didn't use Morphing. I used various modifiers ( noise, displace , mesh select for soft selection .. )
thnx
I think I should make my signature " http://www.uae-arts.host.sk/fire.max "

sorry I didn't read your reply PIXAR ..
Disadvanatges , when you try to make it move, it will not look good .. try it and see ..

Interesting !

Hmm, to keep following on that logic of poly flammes, just put a flex on it to simulate the "inerit parent's velocity" style. :)

The only thing which disturbs me is that no little flammes are generated at the top (and vanishing quickly). Perhaps adding a part emitter based on your object may fit as well....

Hiya,

Yee, fiyaaa! :) Sorry, I just like this warm thing. I used to play with big bangs and booms and smoketrails.

I've made this kind of geometric smoke. To have those little curly things I suggest to use not only a falloff transparency but add some noise or smoke transparency, animate it, and move it upward. I think that's all.

This fire is really-really nice!
