hey peeps,

here's a little test i did with a head model i made... The main purpose of this image was predominantly to mess around with post production effects that could be applied to a raw render. I'll be starting my showreel soon on my animation course, and am trying to find different looks i could use in the post production phase of the show reel development bit... This isn't really exactly what i'd want to go with, as it's far from the look i want, but it's got elements in there that i like. comments welcome. Once i start doing more work towards my showreel, i hope to be posting much more :)

the 3d package used is lightwave...

love the pic, but seen a syour just interested in the post production part of it, i'll just mention that.

personally, I feel that there is too much noise being used, it can be a nice effect, but I think you should just reduce it a bit.

Contrast is a little high, I think you could leave it as it is, but i think if you made the graduation between the severe bright light on the left side of the face and the deep shadows on the right, just a tiny bit, might be a good look.

my two cents.

EDIT: on the left side of the picture, near his ear, there's a faint line that follows the rough shape of the ear, if you've painted osmehting in there, you might just like to smooth that out
