In the distant future a half flesh/half silicon messiah will appear.
He will save the inmortal soul of all the cyborgs by dying crucified
with all his memories formated forever.

I love the concept, has a lot of meaning behind it for the technological world. You should write more of a story to go with it, would be a very interesting tale. Can't wait to see some models on this... looking forward to it.

I'm glad you like the story behind it... it was the main inspiration to choose the subject.
I wanted to create an image with big simbology.

I'll try to keep adding story while advancing trough the challenge.

Since the torso is one of the most important parts of my concept I'm pushing the detail... still WIP

The anatomy looks really impressive and natural, keep it up.
The only thing I can think of is more smoothing of the mesh but Im sure you may have plans of doing that, anyway best of luck with it.

:) Hi

I see that you have a good anatomical sense via modelling. Nice. And i can already see that you will have a great model after the texture applied, so you don't have to spend too much time trying to achieve details thru texture manipulation.
About the concept: may I know why you seemed to put the torture emphasis on his belly/lower abdominal ? while the sacrifice itself seemed to focused on saving cyborg's soul by having his memory erased.

Still wip for the arm/hand, hand not attached yet... not much time lately to work on the challenge, I hope I can get some free time soon to move on.

Body base in neutral pose... working on the head now and planning the cuts to incorporate the machine side of the cyber messiah.

Still a long way to go...

Well.. it's been a while, some things came up... not much time, I still I can make it
before the deadline.
A rough modeled head added to the body, a couple tests for the pose..
Some lighting studies..

There's UV info in the body, but not texture yet, I think I'm not going to have enough time to make a very detailed texture, so I have to rely on the lighting this time.

This is all the "Flesh" part of the image, the "Machine" part is coming, I have a bunch of pieces that I have to assemble together and integrate into the main body, I've been doing this parts in the few free time I have lately, I hope they match fine and feel consistent.
Comments are welcome...

Igor

Another lighting/pose study, same comments as in the previous image...

Great piece of work, man!

I think, the light beams in the second test are (more than) a little too much - the clearness of the test before is much better - there is more depth, form and material.
Maybe it' a good idea to choose something between ...

Go on and don't miss the deadline ;)
