Yes I've been doing test renders in maya in a somewhat heavy scene. Only up till recently had my dual amds 2400 been rendering faster than my p4 intel single 3.0. But come a couple days ago, when I just added in some extra geometry and tweaked the lighting, now my render times are at a 7 minute difference. the dual amd system is running win xp with 2 gigs of ddr 2100 ram, and the intel 3.0 ghz is running win 2k with 1.5 gig of rdram, does anyone know which one should be the better machine, oh also the amd has a quadro 1000 and the intel has a geforce 4600 if that helps at all.
