need some help...i have a really stupid question but i want to know how to make a poly more detailed....i mean there is a way to add more lines...and im not sure how to do it and i forgot what it is called....i hope there is some one out there who understands what i mean

If you're using Maya, here's what I recommend... I'm assuming you mean you want to add in more lines after you've already edited the shape. In that case, I would download MJ Poly Tools and use the Edge Loop Split function. You select an edge and run the Edge Loop Split and it splits the polygon halfway (or whatever you set it to) through the middle all the way around an object. Or you could do that by hand using the Split Polygon Tool.

I'm not sure if that's what you're going for or not.

actually it wasnt....but i did figure it out...it was just useing the smooth tool...gave me more faces and what not...
