Okay...I have started learning Final Cut Pro (and so far I am loving it) but I want to know is if there are things that After Effects can do that Final Cut Pro can't do. If so, what are they. Should I learn after effects as well?

Cheers!

AE is a compositor/motion graphics tool. It is a sucky editor (though people try to use it for that, don't ask me why).

FCP is first and foremost an editor but it has the ability to do effects and motion graphics. Often times an editor will do rudementary effects at a low resolution on their edit and then have someone else do high rez versions with something like AE, Shake, etc... Though many people do use FCP for doing their high resolution effects.

Yes, you should learn AE also. Both tools are used together in many studios.
