I decided to dive in and teach myself flash as long as I was updating my online portfolio and this is what I've got so far.

I'm going for mostly functional at this point. I'm also swamped finishing the 3D portion of it before I roll it out. After thats done then I'm adding rollovers to the whole thing and making the pages a bit more animated and dynamic when you bring them up.

Anyways... style and layout critiques welcome. Also, if there are any loading problems let me know. Grazi.

Hi there Lane :)

The font you have used for the main headings ("Lane Daughty - Technical artist, Resume, Bio, Media, etc) are very hard to read. Perhaps bring the letters closer together. Also maybe instead of using capitals for the headings, try using all lower case and see how that looks. Or maybe have them all uppercase but have the first Letter a slightly larger font size. The 'B' in "BIO" is also hard to see, maybe play around with a different type font that is similar, but the B's are different.

I feel that u need:

1. preloading screen
2. do not antialias ur text, expecially u are using small size font.
3. some animations (for buttons and screen)
4. i feel that u can make ur art work as external swf. So when ur art work is increasing, u don't have to change ur flash_resume.swf every time...
