For just over a year I have made great efforts to learn lightwave to the point where I feel comfortable with the software. Now I am at that stage I understand the need to focus on improving my animation skills, which was my goal to begin with.

I need advice on how I should start this long journey ahead of me and any suggestions as to what I might read or any websites I would do well to visit would be much appreciated.
I have already studied several other character animation books such as the one by Timothy Albee, which proved very useful. Especially concerning his advice on acting out the character and the power of anticipation together with the other animation techniques. Anything anyone could show me that might prove equally as useful or of equally high standard would be ideal.

Thankyou

Two books I would highly recommend to any animator are The Animator's Survival Kit (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0571202284/qid=1080005599/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-7986319-7199845?v=glance&s=books) by Richard Williams, and Illusion of Life: Disney Animation (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0786860707/ref=pd_bxgy_text_1/103-7986319-7199845?v=glance&s=books&st=*) by Ollie Johnson and Frank Thomas.

Thankyou everyone for your input and any further suggestions you may have would be of great help.
I forgot to mention I had the Richard Williams book and I agree it is a valuable reference. I will keep my eyes open for the Illusion of Life book, as I've heard great things about it and the other books mentioned.

Thankyou:thumbsup:
