If you want an area or RT shadow, put a light in the scene and.... turn on area or RT shadow.
Problem solved.

Do a multi-pass rendering with a shadow-only pass, combine that with the HDRI render in post.

Ok.
There is not a 2 sentence answer which just solves this problem.
There's no button for this, nor some "one size fits all" way to go about it.
If you're wanting an ultra-realistic light/shadow/skin effect, then it's going to be a matter of learning to use lights, shadows, and shaders... lots of trial, error, learning what works and what doesn't.
You might try looking in the 3dsmax tutorials forum for a bit of guidance, but based on the pathway your questions are taking it appears to me you're just starting off from the beginning and trying to hit an experienced result in a few minutes - which isn't going to happen. :)

oh but there IS an easy answer!!
how obtain a realistic ilumination with hdr like this
use an hdr that has all those things IN it!
tada!
your hdri must have the lighting quality, color, directionality, etc in it, in order to get those things out of the render. just becuase you are using hdr-based lighting doesn't mean it will look like any other image you've seen with hdr-based lighting in it.
so, to solve your problem, go buy a mirrored ball and a camera and shoot an hdri that has the quality of light you like. or simply supliment the hdr you have now with other lights
