ok well this is my first model so im nervous about posting it here, ive been learning 3ds max on my own for about 2 1/2 weeks, and this has taken 4 days from my 2d drawing to my 3d model, he was origonally a rock type creature, but after some changes, thats not going to work,

so c&C is welcome i know i have some little things to do

if U ae working on 3dmax for about 2-3 weeks it is good start!
...
i thigng that your creature need some connection between segments..
U can alsow try to give same high crease fore some edges ( in meshsmooth modifier/sub object-edge) couse' i thing it looks more like a robot not "rock type cerature"
...
next time post models like that in WIP-galery so u can get more crits :)

i have the joints idea down because im going to use my origonal concept which is a force holding them together, thanks for the idea about the creases, i was posting in wip, but couldnt edit my topic just said 2d drawing, so it fell rather far back hehe.

nice for only a few weeks in 3d max
looks promising

although the mouth thing looks kinda like an insect mouth.. not sure if thats intended

thanks, the mouth is kinda odd, its supposed to be like a floating jaw, as all peices of this were origonally supposed to be floating, it moves around a bit weird, this can giev you an example

hehe a friend wanted me to do this, cause the positon i put him in looked like he was signing
