there is, and should no favourite in my eyes. there are areas where it is fine to work with subds, and areas which are absolutely nurbs land, and there are some fields for polys.
but after all i like nurbs the most.

- bicycle

- airplane
i think you should restate your poll - for what kind of task (organic, hard surface, ...) we prefer which technique

For organic modeling, what type of tools suits you best?

sorry, didn't want to sound harsh
for organic modelling i prefer to use CPS (maybe that should be a category for itself in your poll) or subdivs (without hierarchical modelling) - though lately i've seen some tutorials for organic modelling based on nurbs
what are the advantages of using nurbs for organic modelling?
