Heya all. This is my first post.I couldn't resist staying out of this
challenge:)

So here goes...

I have done a rough sketch of the beast but am yet to come
with a design for the harness and trinkets.I am trying to make
this beast look a bit old, miserable and tired but still look like he can still pull large loads.

But enough rambling. better start modeling!

Awesome stuff, looking forward to that amount of detail on the rest! Are you planning to texture him? About proportions - maybe elogate his tummy just a bit - few land giants are really quite as short - maybe the hippo as ref? Maybe not - it'd be great if he could slouch below his shoulder blades.

Thanks for the feedback:)

I have been really busy over the last week and have been
trying to make some time to finish this guy. I plan on texturing
him fully maybe after the challenge is over.I'll probably do a bump
map and (if allowed?) a displacement map for now.

I am not sure about the placement of the back legs they seem a bit close to the front legs. This might be a bit limiting when i try to animate him.I was kinda thinking of a hippo type build when i
was sketching him.

Hopefully have another update soon.

Amazing... truly amazing.

I'm assuming that small black patch under his head is a mesh-weldy problem, but apart from that, you've got one great model.

Great modelling, it's very close to your drawing, and one of the best bobs around here. Well done !

You should have a page with all your work, such modelling makes us want to see more, we're curious ! ;)

Really great job! Alittle more detail inthe horn, and make sure his loose skin pulls straight down (the bulbus thingys) and I'll be kissing my fingertips!
