Here's a rose I made real quick for a webstie.

Tell me what you think!

Not Bad. I'ts a little too perfect, it lacks the imperfections a real rose does. The Shaders could use some work. Maybe add a texture for some colour blending and a bump map or dispalcement for the imperfections. Oh and the stem and the leaves dont look right. Sorry if I baggin on ya. :)

Rose petals fold and bend and crinkle and have texture to them even on top of all those things. So do the stems. A close up study has to have those things. This rose may be good as a far away prop though

I think it works, when i look at that i think its a rose which is purposly trying to be fake in a cartoonish CG way, and not be a perfect rose, in which case any "miss" from it being a real reproduction would be points off.

I definatly like it :)

Thanks guys!

I was going for a perfect rose look because my client wanted a flawless look to everything on his website.

What he means by "too perfect" is too computery. The most perfect Rose would be rich with texture... thorns... translucent petals... and it would also lie flat on a surface. This is okay as a symbol maybe.
