here is my spawn, i drew and color it by hand with sharpie and pen, then scanned to computer and put the background and glow and blur

Maybe it's the compression, but it seems that through scanning and whatever you did in photoshop you've lost alot of the detail and contrast of the original drawing. I'd advise bringing some definition back into it as the piece is quite flat.
