Hi Guys, I've been doing JAMBOOL for my Character Animation Project, hope ya like it!
I did this guy in MAX with no addtional plugins whatsoever! :) Textures done in Phothoshop for sure! ;)

P.S. Why I can't post my Images all at once! (6 pics)

It says: "You have included too many images in your signature or in your previous post. Please go back and correct the problem and then continue again. Images include use of smilies, the vB code [img] tag and HTML <img> tags. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator."

i like the guy. he's cartoony so you can get away with some things but I think that the main problem is in his hands. his fingers to be more precise. And maybe, just maybe, you could try to make his ears a little biger. Overall his good. :)

So far he looks pretty good. I think the soles of his boots are a bit too square. Same with the tops of the boots.

Overall, he's lookin pretty good. Keep going!

Thanks everyone! I'll definitely be working on the fingers, but as for his ears, I'd like to keep it at that size, but there'll be one take in my animation where his ears pop out big as he hears something! :p

I love the boots, they are pretty much like what I had in mind when sketching 'em! Do you really think I shoud make em round?

I'll be completing the rigging work soon, can't wait to see him in different poses! ;)

I think that my favorite part of this character is that his stomach shoots up at an angle, as though being propelled upwards by some unseen force. there was a character in an old Val Kilmer comedy who's name, roughly translated, meant "she who's bosoms defy gravity." reminded me of that.

anyway, though I find his upwardly mobile bowels very comical, I'm not sure it's what you want. that peculiar trait would cry out for attention in your animation. also, your sketches don't have his belly jutting upwards like that, so I assume it was just a translational issue from paper to pixel.

anyway, you may want to think about tweaking that before you animate anything with him. fat people are tough as nails to animate. but then, so is everything else.

Thanks for the crit man!

That's right, when I'm modeling it in 3D there were parts that I decided to change or not to follow the drawing, for example the top of the head shape, and his neck (a bit longer)! I was refering for the boots anyway!

Here's a better angle to show ...
