Wassup! Long time no see! Actualy I put ty up to this. How's the movie comming. I finaly got to see the preview. Looks frigg'n awsome. Things are good here. Still working as graphic artist at Ty's work place. We still use lightwave! FOR GOD SAKES WHY LIGHTWAVE! How marraied life? Mines good. For this contest I am gunna make a farmer that looks like my dad out in a alien farming feild but he's gunna be all mech styled with parts to help with farming stuff. Gunna be all retro neo style with steam engine parts and all. Now you can't laugh when I post my concept drawing. I still can't draw for didly.

I made quick sketchy drawings but as long as I can tell what parts I need to make from my drawings then I think its better this way. That way I am not confined to makeing my 3D exactly like my drawing. Anyways, The scribbles you are looking at is design for a farmer on an alien planet. The farmer will be in a tomatoe type plant feild. The farm is inspecting and harvesting his crop with his various mech addition to help in farming. Tank lower half, steam engine, and other neo retro mech nick nacks to help in the days work. He's going to be a gruffy dirty dude. He'll be sweting, wiping his brow, looking very squinty.
All ideas and comments are welcome.

I figured to get the most difficult part done first. So here is my squinty guys head. He will have a cool beard and wrinkles later. For now modeling must be done. I used some great head modeling tutorials I found to create his head. He will be looking at a vegetable with his squinty eye.

Here is the begining of my tractor/tank tracks to go under the farmer guy. This is going much quicker than the head. Machinery creation is much easy than organics. I decided to give the treads more of a tank feal than a tractor look. But theres still alot more to do on them!
All comments and ideas are welcome. :)

Here is my next modeling session. I needed a power supply so here is a steam tank with an engine in the back. And of course I added a few tubes, steams stacks, light, ect.. for detail.

Put it all together and here we are! Next I have to make a contraption to attach the torso to this base.
As Always, all coments are welcome and wanted.
