View Full Version : Scene Triangle Count including Nurbs Objects

I have the bonus tools installed, but that only gives your triangle count for poly objects.

Is it possible in Maya to get a triangle count of your whole scene including nurbs objects?

Perhaps a script/plug in?

I tried turning on display render tesselation for the nurbs objects and then selecting everything, that didn't give me the information either.

I find it hard to believe that information that you need to know almost always isn't built right into the program.

I must be missing something, any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Nurbs should be converted to polygons so you could know the polycount. A surface nurbs could has from 1 to zelion polygons so it's not possible to know the polycount until you tesselate all your nurbs (or Subddivision) surfaces.
