CGTalk - when would joints NOT show

All,

Im trying to add some joints to a cyclinder but it doesnt want to show on screen. It shows in the Outliner that it was added but doesnt in the side view. What would cause joints not to show?

I would say the same as above in side veiw go show joints.....but perhaps your joint display size is really low.......try jacking it up...I believe it is under display,,,,joint size or somthing...havent done any IK or FK in maya for a few months
