This is my final concept.

I'm to consider the wing structure, final expression for the machine character at a later time.

I will also be considering addition costume design, alien language, a backdrop city, alien vehicles and one extra character in the room.

A friend just pointed out that this looks like the new villain in Spiderman. Which kind of sucks because I did conceive this idea with any prior knowledge.

A little about the theme and the considerations.

The scene is to take place in an Alien environment, the theme is revenge and as you can see the winged character is about to take action against one of the many gang members on his hit list.

Although it will have a slightly futuristic element, I will be incorporating some modified everyday items such as old televisions and beer bottles. I'm very fond of the idea of mixing old with new and that retro element will sit very well with this theme.

I will be developing my own typeface for the alien language which will run throughout, it will be apparent on asian like florescent signs, the television screen, labels, posters, machine parts etc.

For character texturing, I will begin tomorrow sculpting scar like shapes into clay, photographing them and mix accordingly in photoshop.

Scene lighting is to be set in a heavy storm, lit primarily by the street lights and the weaponry of the winged character. Indoor lighting will be low lit by the television and the bleed of exterior light. Obviously I want the main focus of attention drawn to the Machine Flesh concept character.

I'm breaking the challenge into segments to avoid working incredibly long periods of time on one aspect. I'll tackle each character on a day to day basis, starting one, then stopping, then moving on the next and back again.

what exactly are the 'machineflesh' items of the alien...what is it that makes him more vengeful, or more efficient in seaking his revenge?....direction looks great...I guess i'm just trying to see some little details or gadgets that make him a killer!

The wings are mechanical in structure and will be surgically attached to the chararcter. The snake like weapons will also be a part of the body. I will add more and more to this as I progress.

The way I work, I preplan to some extent, but accidents are sometimes fortunate things. I may change my mind half way through and decide on something different.
