These are humans modified to live on a sea planet. Only thing remaining from the original body is the central nervous system and head. The face is left on and functional for sentimental reasons though it is not needed.

This only my first idea and probably not the last. I'm not sure this is the one I will process further.

I like your Sketch (remind's me robocop II ) :D

But it's like a genetic mutation, it's not too obvious the mechanics...

Anyway, it's just the beginning... Good luck!

love it:) I'm also doing underwater maybe we could help each other with ideas on how we could improve each others work.
I will be looking for more of your work...

From the first sketch I also have to say, that there is no obvious mechanichal parts.
But I love the idea:thumbsup:
Keep going!!!!

Yes, there is only biomechanics so far... I have a bit trouble with embedding machines in to this concept. These medusa people are perfect for their environment, so what do they need the machines for? Perhaps communicating... perhaps as weaponry... The jellyfish bodies are very woulnerable.

I have one other idea too which you'll be seeing soon. (Actually it's from my brother, whose a genius with an endless imagination)

Here's my second idea. The scetch is based on my brothers story about these degenerated and frogotten service androids living on their own on a postapocalyptic colonial war. The main population has forgotton about higher technology and the androids live in hiding in caves harvesting remains of machines and humans for spare parts. The humans call them trolls. The "trolls" live for ever as long as they have functioning parts, but during centuries the supply is low... So they are rusty and live off what they can...

Great concept! I really like the story behind it. Maybe you could do (since harvests of the new parts are so rare) some scene of a fight of let's say two of those trolls for the parts of the one that functions no more... You know... Ripping him apart... Well just a thougt

Keep up a good work!

Another concept scetch of a troll. I'm beginning to like this idea. I'm thinking of a picture with many trolls reapiring/building themselves, ripping of parts from a body/old tractor or what ever.

Composition and lighting sketch for the trolls scavenging picture.

And goldi76: Thanks for the idea!

Any comments and ideas about the composition and the idea of the final image are welcome.

I thought it woulb be a quiet scavenging moment. The leader of the troll group, who can weld, is retrieving parts from the body of a dead troll and the rest of troop is waiting. The thing is happening in a dark underground cavern and the only light is coming from the welding flame and the eyes and other possible lights the trolls have in their bodies.
