Ah i think i know you from gfxartist ^0^

The sketch looks cool but i really can't see what the enhancements are for which makes it hard for me to give feedback :)

Yes, I know...

When I complete the composition to the acceptable level, I can show the work in general and describe the main idea of the piece of work.

Meanwhile its just preliminary sketches of the fragments and images of the future work

Nice sketches

Really looks like the machinery and technology is slowly taking her over, and SHE LIKES IT! Symbiosis thing.

I'm really looking forwar to see how will this concept evolve further.

creamy artwork.! 4 thumbs up ...extra here.
i also like the classic sci-fi idea for your styling.
love the carve outs in machine as accents ,gives a good character style, like the super rich people cared about to make the machines by old master artisan, and not by stamp and press production robot.
Wonderful!
lady with top stacked hair, ringlets ,french braids, other styles of elegance?maybe?

ideas--okay?
-always machine ladies and robots bald, bald, bald.gah!
why robomech ladies face always look the same ,no face, smooth, face of perfect beauty. smooth bland , blank .no jaw. no cheekbones.
no look of surprise,no emotion. plastic.
make her more to
look at the viewer .
look at the viewer. LOOK!.. see me!

Nice sketches. I really like how you've carved out the decorative engraving into the machinery as well. Although I have to agree, the functionality of the machinery is still in development. It would be cool if you could integrate her and the machinery you've developed so far into some kind of beast form. Nice though, real nice, keep it going.

Hi all : )

I didn?t post here workflow steps for quite a long period of time but I had reasons for that so please forgive me. I was moving from Germany back to Ukraine and because of that my internet access was limited. The situation is better now but connection if not perfect.
The fact I couldn?t post new images here doesn?t mean I was doing nothing at all :)

This is a sketch for one of the characters of the final painting? This is a guardian. Of course he has nothing in common with biomechanics. My next posting will include the full scene and I fill finally tell you the whole idea of this painting?

So here goes the background :)
Just don't get scared ;))

In the end of 21st century a new biological weapon was invented. During first tests there were serious problems when new virus showed unknown qualities, security system failed and there was an outflow... However the problem was solved and only several laboratory workers suffered and scientists managed to avoid program cancellation.

Several years passed since that accident.

Nobody knew that some parts of modified virus left the laboratory. It transferred like ordinary flu and had the same symptoms... and for a long time it remained harmless for humans but mutation was continuous and virus totally modified.
And then came the time when mutation became fatal.

Virus modified so that it became killing for female organism but remained harmless for males... And to that time 90% or Earth population was already infected what caused horrifying consequences.
During just several weeks all female part of Earth's population became victims of the virus. The medicine was helpless and physicians could not and were already late to make anything...
Besides, these facts provoke several serious international conflicts that caused Third World War. People were desperate and never thought what they were doing... And when they realized what happened it was too late already...

Those who survived understood that this was the end of humankind. Civilization was destroyed; there was no birth rate at all...
Establishing of the United Alliance was the last hope of humankind but any attempts to revive female organism were doomed for a failure, medicine was still helpless.
But they managed to solve the question... The solution was in biomechanics.

Huge fields of androids were created where female body combined with mechanical devices could reproduce genital function. Also androids were given artificial intelligence and were able to speak...

However, even thought solution was found it was overdue...
There was total anarchy all over the planet and the most powerful organization were Religious Fanatics, who said the Judgment Day has come. Android fields they named blasphemy, they destroyed all the laboratories and burnt on a fire all the scientists...

But... after many years android fields started to work again... When humankind almost disappeared...
Just... androids never were able to speak again.

Many years passed... Civilization has come to decline.
New generation couldn't understand ancient stories about what has happened to the humankind... They started to attribute to the Highest Forces everything they couldn't explain, Android Fields became object of worship and the process of human's birth became a religion.

Actually, this process is shown in my painting :)

Of course not everybody shared ideas of the Main Tribe, which settled around the Fields.
Smaller tribes separated from the Main Tribe but living was not easy for their members...
They had to steal children during the birth ceremony in the Fields even risking a life...
Success was rare but they had no other choice.

This piece is very outstanding. Great atmosphere, lighting and color palette. I like the costume designs. Only thing I would say is maybe hint at more detail in the tall vertical "smoke stack things" in the back ground. They look too transparent and don't look like same mechanical things as the foregroungd one. You don't need to add too much detail...just a little to give them form. Good luck

Great concept and lovely composition - the lighting is really something and gives a real painterly feel. Has a real organic / story of old feel despite the machine flesh brief. Great to see something very different...

I agree witht he above comments, and I would have to say Mr.Freeman said what I think quite well. Painterly is right, and I love how unique and human this piece is. Have you tried talking to the people in charge about the upload thing?!?! This is incredible and you got everything in on time! And I am not sure how to vote for you without your FTP image up!!! (I was wondering where you're piece was while I was looking through the vote stuff, I guess now I know:sad: .)

nice, vry nice for some reason when i looked at the thumbnail i was thinking of some ironic form of the birth of christ.

after reading what the story, i think if the child born was a male it would have quite some irony.. and ohh i feel the pain of that poor woman, saving mankind in her pain and sorrow.
