View Full Version : UVW > What about the unused mapping ?

I just wanted to know something, as I am beggining the uvw mapping for the textures of my first character. Can I put all the unneeded mapping (ex: the inside of a shirt or small parts you can't see or you don't plan to texture) in one small corner so i have more space for the other pieaces textures?

Certainly. You could also just leave them as-is. It may help reduce clutter when viewing/editing the UVs if unused parts are minimized, but it has no actual effect in your renders.. since those parts won't be textured.
