Hello !

When browsing most of the VFX forums to see how people talk about matchmoving, I just noticed that many users really miss some informations.
As I'm the project manager of MatchMover, I have the opportunity to see, almost everyday, new kind of projects, always more complexed.
So I've decided to share my experience and want to create a kind of 'MatchMoving Encyclopedia', in which every matchmover can share some resources.

Basically, I want to show a lot of real matchmoving cases, and to classify them by "Camera move". For example, how to matchmove a free move shot, a nodal pan, a shot with survey points, a smooth shot, a shaky shot, how to cope with moving objects, zooming, distortion, known geometry, helper footage....

Of course, all the 3D tracking examples will be demonstrated using MatchMover, (and I'll try to convice you it's the best one, if needed !), but you should be able to use the techniques in your favorite package !

Unfortunately, a lot of big feature films we worked on usually do not give us the credits for using their images, but I'll try to use them when allowed.
Anyway, if any of you have some interesting shots, or informations, or anything they'd like to see, please do not hesitate to contact me.
If it can be something useful for all of us, it will allow artits to concentrate on creativity instead of time-killing matchmoving !

These informations will of course be hosted on our web site: http://www.realviz.com/products/mpro/index.php , as soon as possible.
I don't promise that all will be updated every day, because I'm quite busy with MatchMover, but I'll do my best.

Thanks a lot for your attention !

That sounds like a great idea!

I'm pretty new to matchmoving, so I think it will be very nice to have a resource like that.
